The Songfellows 65th Anniversary year Tour begins at the Old Liberty
Community Church, 120 Hempstead 10 Fulton, Arkansas on Friday, January
18 at 6:30pm. Lite fellowship to follow. We would like to invite all family
friends and new friends to come enjoy good Gospel music.
The Songfellows Quartet started as Bob Jones and the Stamps Harmony
Boys in 1945. Bob Jones Sr, the founder, is in the Southern Gospel Music
Hall of Fame. The quartet became the Songfellows Quartet in 1954. In
2006 the group moved from the Los Angeles area to Nashville, TN. The
quartet is a full time ministry.
Coming January 1, 2019 A new hymn collection “Hymn Sing and
Campmeeting Songs” will be available to kick off the celebration of our 65th
Anniversary Tour. My dad changed the name from Bob Jones and the
Harmony Boys to the Songfellows in 1954. I joined as a high school senior
in 1958. Every friend of the Songfellows should add this to their collection.
