Historic Downtown Hope was filled with people shopping, dining and strolling as they enjoyed the inaugural after-hours event, the 4th ThursDAY Slip Away ARTWALK.
One out of town visitor said, “Downtown is ‘electric’ tonight. My family and I have visited several stores and checked out the local artists. What a fun night.”
Participating stores & restaurants included Rae-Tays, Vilma’s, Wilson’s Four-States Furniture, Hearts & Hands, Studio 107 & LK’s, Lagrone Williams Hardware, Elm Street Marketplace, Bob’s Antiques, The Studio, Melon Patch & ROC n’ Reruns, Tailgaters, One 24 Salon & Walgreens. The Farmers’ Market was open for Thursday evening shopping at the HUB.
Artists included Southern Crown Company, Porfirio Gutierrez, Jennifer Wright, Kendrick Adams, the Silvey Family, Greg Wolf, ROC artists & Antonio Finley.
The Hope-Hempstead County Chamber appreciates those who participated & those who joined in the fun of the first event of this kind. “The 4th ThursDAY Slip Away will continue until Christmas Open House yet the focus will be different each time,” stated Beckie Moore the director of the chamber.
