Hempstead County 4-H’ers competed at the Arkansas State Fair in Little Rock, and several area young people came away as winners. Kelsey Beasley won Grand Champion AOB Heifer, Keely Plyler Grand and Sarah Sweat Reserve Grand Champion American Commercial Heifer, Harlie Lockhart placed 1st in her Shorthorn class, Lane Lockhart placed 6th in his Hereford class and Mariuana McClenton placed 11th with her Market hog.
