120 Local Children in Foster Care Waiting for a Voice: CASA for Children Texarkana Calls on Community Leaders to Help Answer the Need
TEXARKANA, USA – CASA for Children Texarkana is urgently seeking volunteers to serve as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) for children in the foster care system. Right now, 120 children across our service area are navigating the challenges of foster care without a dedicated CASA to speak up for their best interests in court.

CASA for Children serves Bowie, Cass, Miller, Little River, Hempstead, Howard, Nevada, and Lafayette counties, advocating for abused and neglected children to ensure they find safe, permanent homes. These children need someone in their corner - someone who will consistently show up, listen, and advocate for their needs. That someone could be you or someone in your circle.

"We know our community is full of people who care deeply, but many simply haven’t heard the need presented in the right way," said CASA Executive Director, Malenda Cree. "That’s why we’re asking pastors, civic clubs, corporate teams, social groups, and other local leaders to invite us to come speak. When people hear the stories, they understand the urgency, and many are moved to step up."

CASA is calling on churches, community clubs, local businesses, and organizations of all kinds to help by opening the door for CASA to come speak. Whether it’s a five-minute spotlight or a full presentation, giving CASA a platform could inspire life-changing action.

Will your group help spread the word and be part of the solution?

To schedule a CASA representative to speak at your meeting or event, please contact Brittney Wren at (903)792-1030 or visit www.casatexarkana.org.

Together, we can make sure no child has to walk through foster care alone.
