The 150th celebration will still take place, with vendors at the HUB from 10-1 and The City Hall lawn will be the afternoon venue from 3:00 PM until dark. The 150th Anniversary Planning Committee encourages everyone to bring your lawn chairs and prepare to spend the afternoon so as not to miss any of the activities.
All festivities at City Hall, which is located at 206 W Avenue A, will be free and will include a Sesquicentennial Proclamation, Dancetastics performance, music provided by the Hope High School band, THAT Band featuring Hope native, Joe Purvis, and Majestic Jazz featuring Hope native, Jeff Madlock. Family friendly fun and games will be a welcomed highlight that will also include a Kidz Zone with bounce houses. Dinner on the lawn will be free for all in attendance thanks to Farmers Bank & Trust. The community will enjoy a display of fireworks to close out the celebration.
150th Anniversary T-shirts are on sale at the Hope-Hempstead County Chamber, the park office, and Tailgaters for $20.00 each.
