2022 Year-end Review: Staff Picks: Bren

As we near the end of 2022 and reflect on this past year, we are so grateful to be a news provider in these amazing communities of Southwest Arkansas! For our 2022 year-end review, viewers will get to hear from your favorite SWARKansans about their favorite projects of the year and what made them so special! Today's staff pick is from Bren!

So, I don't even know where to start on picking a favorite, because EVERY project, EVERY article and EVERY design is absolutely perfect to me. This team amazes me each and every day with their creativity, attention to detail and all the things they do to promote Hempstead and Nevada Counties. It makes no difference whose idea it is: Shelly, Dillan, April, Jeff or Myself. When someone says "let's do (fill in the blank)," the entire team is ALL IN and each one of them does whatever they can do to make that idea come to fruition.

Football tabs, basketball tabs, watermelon tabs, Thanksgiving, Letters to Santa, articles on citizens in our community, coffees, ribbon cuttings, Coffee with the Candidates, I'm a Survivor, livestreams and all of the other projects that have been put out over this last year are all so good. But, since I'm being made to pick a favorite, I have to choose our 20 Under 50 magazine AND our Hempstead County Progress Edition.

Both of these projects are similiar in nature and it was very hard for me to decide between the two, so I decided to just pick them both. 20 Under 50 spotlights 20 individuals under the age of 50 that have made great strides in helping move Hope and Hempstead County forward. It was fascinating to read all of the nomination letters, reading what each of these people have done to promote our community and help others is truly inspiring to me and makes me strive to be a better person each day.

The Progress Edition focuses on all of the progress that has been made in Hempstead County over the last year. It talks about what our city and county have done to improve our way of life, new businesses that have opened, and current businesses that have expanded. It also gives businesses a chance to talk about themselves and let the public know a little more about them. It is seriously such a good piece to sit down and read and it is so interesting to learn the "whys" behind why the owner opened that particular business. I love all of our businesses in Hempstead County and I want to see them succeed, which allows our county to grow and prosper even more.

I hope you take a moment to click on the links and read both of these sections, along with the rest of the SWARK Team's picks for 2022. This team works tirelessly and almost 24/7 to make sure that they put out original content and an exceptional project for our readers and I promise you will not be dissapointed!
