2024-A ALETA GRADUATION

April 5, 2024 The Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy (ALETA) hosted the Basic Class 2024-A Graduation on Thursday, April 4, 2024, in Camden. A total of 55 agencies across the state had officers and/or deputies in the academy. The overall academic average of the class was 92.04% and the overall firearms average was 89%. Officer Christopher Smithey from the Texarkana Police Department earned the Physical Fitness Award, Officer Marcus Ryan from the Stuttgart Police Department earned the Firearms Award, and Deputy Jamie Carmack with the Garland County Sheriff’s Office earned the Academic Excellence Award. McGehee Police Chief Scott Williams congratulated academy graduates and encouraged them to surround themselves with people who inspire them to do better and to focus on something greater than themselves.
