2024 If All Arkansas Read the Same Book Program– Events Planned in Gravette, Arkadelphia, Conway, and Batesville
LITTLE ROCK—The Arkansas Center for the Book’s annual “If All Arkansas Read the Same Book” program will kick off on Sunday, July 14, 2024, in Gravette, Arkansas. The 2024 program features “The Secret Book of Flora Lea” (New York: Atria Books, 2023) by Alabama author Patti Callahan Henry. Ms. Henry will visit Arkansas for a tour July 14 through July 15. July event details are:

•  Sunday, July 14, 2024, 2:00 p.m. CDT at the Gravette Civic Center, 401 Charlotte St. SE, Gravette, AR 72736 (host is the Gravette Public Library)

•  Monday, July 15, 2024, 12:00 p.m. CDT at the Community Family Enrichment Center, 301 N 23rd St., Arkadelphia, AR 71923 (host is the Clark County Library)
•  Monday, July 15, 2024, 7:00 p.m. CDT at the Faulkner County Library, 1900 Tyler St., Conway, AR 72032 (host is the Faulkner County Library)

In addition, a Gathering of the Book Clubs program is planned for Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. and will be hosted by the Independence County Library (267 E Main St., Batesville, AR 72501). This will be a hybrid event in which Patti Callahan Henry will join us for a virtual visit. Audience members may join us either in-person or virtually.

Patti Callahan Henry is a “New York Times” and “USA Today” bestselling author of sixteen novels, including “Surviving Savannah,” Once Upon a Wardrobe,” and “Becoming Mrs. Lewis.” A full-time author and mother of three children, she now resides in both Mountain Brook, Alabama, and Bluffton, South Carolina, with her husband.

The If All Arkansas Read the Same Book community read project is made possible in part by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services to the Arkansas State Library. Copies of “The Secret Book of Flora Lea” are available at all public library branches in the state.
