4-H O’Rama Winners for Hempstead County

District and State 4-H O’Ramas were held this summer as hybrid events consisting of both virtual and in-person contests. Hempstead County 4-Hers winning at the District O’Rama were Freya Dowell, 1st place Jr. Photography, and Garrison Brown, 1st place Sr. Performing Arts- Instrumental. As a senior 4-Her, Garrison went on to compete at the State O’Rama winning 1st place in Performing Arts – Instrumental.

Freya Dowell is the 14-year-old daughter of Jeremy and Alicia Dowell. She is a 9th grader at Spring Hill High School and a member of the Voyager 4-H Club and Spring Hill FFA.

Garrison Brown is the 17-year-old son of Amanda and Paul Jones and Wayne Brown. He is a senior at Spring Hill High School, a Spring Hill 4-H Club member, and Spring Hill FCA Senior Captain. Garrison is also on the Spring Hill basketball and golf teams and an active member of Unity Baptist Church.
