#6 Arkansas to Host Stetson in Final Non-Conference Weekend Series of Regular Season
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Sixth-ranked Arkansas (10-3) will host Atlantic Sun Conference foe Stetson (5-8) in a four-game set, its final non-conference weekend series of the regular season, inside the friendly confines of Baum-Walker Stadium.

First pitch in the series opener between the Hogs and Hatters is 1 p.m. Friday, March 6. The game, which will not be televised, was set to begin at 6 p.m. but was moved ahead by five hours due to potential severe weather in the area.

That season, the Hogs dropped two-of-three games to South Alabama in their final non-conference home weekend series of the year.

History Lesson

The Hogs and Hatters will meet on the diamond for the first time in history this weekend at Baum-Walker Stadium.

Arkansas head coach Dave Van Horn, who began his NCAA head coaching career in 1993, and legendary Stetson head coach Pete Dunn (1980-2016), however, are closely linked by wins. Van Horn earned his 1,314th career NCAA victory in Arkansas’ midweek win against Oral Roberts, surpassing Dunn (1,313) on college baseball’s winningest coaches list.

Go Gold

In Sunday’s game against Stetson, Arkansas will don gold hats to promote childhood cancer awareness. The Razorbacks are 4-1 all-time in the hats, which were first worn in a childhood cancer awareness game during the 2021 campaign.
