8North juvenile court staff granted a $20,000 grant. The staff conducted a six month program with nine juveniles from Hempstead and Nevada County called Unlocking Success(US). This grant was courtesy of the Honorable Judge Duncan Culpepper and Honorable Judge Joe Short. A banquet for those completing the program will be held June 30th in Hempstead Hall from 5-7 p.m.
