A Splash of Summer Fun at the Hope City Pool

With summer well under way and the temperature rising, many local residents and their families have found a way to beat the heat at the City of Hope's Fair Park Pool. Today, many children could be seen swimming, floating, and diving the afternoon away while enjoying this local, family-friendly recreation. Pool Manager Mayra Garcia said the Hope Pool is an excellent way for local youth to enjoy their days. “This is a great place for families, and we have some amazing lifeguards who keep everyone safe while they have fun,” Garcia said. “People don’t have to leave town to have fun when they can come here to the local pool.”

All the lifeguards are certified in CPR and Lifeguard training and they keep a diligent eye on kiddos as they swim the lanes. The Hope Pool is also home to the Hope Piranhas, the champion swim team who last year had multiple top finishes and personal best times. Some of their members even qualified for Team Arkansas and joined the team in winning the Junior Olympics.

Any families who are looking for an enjoyable, yet cooler, activity to keep the kids busy during these summer months can take advantage of this local, affordable resource for family entertainment and recreation.

Pool Hours are Monday through Friday 12pm to 5pm, Saturday 12pm to 6pm, and Friday night for Family Night 7pm to 9pm. The pool entry fee is $3 per child and $5 per adult; furthermore, summer passes (individual, couple, or family) are available. Children 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult; plus, snacks and drinks are available in the concession stand. The pool is open for party reservations which include lifeguard supervision, as well. Call 8703313349 to make reservations or for more information about the pool.
