FAYETTEVILLE – Jonas Aidoo is one of 20 players on the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year Preseason Watch List, announced by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.

 

The annual Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award, named after the Class of 1995 Hall of Famer and three-time NCAA Champion, celebrates its 11th year by honoring the top centers in Division I men’s college basketball.


Aidoo’s Preseason Honors:

Last season, Aidoo was first team All-SEC and on the SEC All-Defensive Team. He ranked third in the SEC in blocked shots (1.83 avg. and 66 total), fourth in rebounds per game (7.3), fourth in total rebounds (263) and fourth in offensive rebounds per game (2.78).
