“All in for Harris”: Democratic State Lawmakers in Arkansas Become First Caucuses to Unanimously Endorse Kamala Harris for President
LITTLE ROCK – Today, the Democratic Party of Arkansas announced that every Democratic member of the Arkansas Senate and Arkansas House of Representatives is endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for President of the United States. Harris, who announced her candidacy for President on Sunday and shattered the 24-hour fundraising record for a candidate on Monday, was unanimously endorsed earlier this week by the Arkansas delegation to the Democratic National Convention.

“No one is better prepared than Kamala Harris to lead this country and fight for a Better Arkansas with us and our Democratic state legislators recognize that,” said Grant Tennille, Chair of the Democratic Party of Arkansas and Chair of Arkansas 2024 Delegation.

“Arkansas Democrats represent communities as diverse as the Delta to the Ozarks, and they carry the voices of college towns and dirt farmers and the largest population center in Arkansas,” Tennille said.

Senate Minority Leader Rep. Greg Leding (D–Fayetteville) said: “I’m excited to support Vice President Harris, and I’m going to work hard over the next 103 days to help make sure our country elects her as our next president of the United States.”

House Minority Leader Rep. Andrew Collins (D–Little Rock) said: “Vice President Kamala Harris has helped deliver more than $4 billion in investment in our state. Arkansas Democrats have her back and we won’t go back.”

National Harris Delegate Sen. Fred Love (D–Little Rock) said: “Our small communities and cities did not have the funds to provide for safe drinking water, sewer infrastructure, and economic development dollars to bring in businesses during the Trump Administration. When it came to supporting the forgotten parts of our country, the Biden-Harris Administration did not forget about Arkansas.”

National Harris Delegate Rep. Denise Garner (D–Fayetteville) said: “Vice President Harris is a model servant-leader for Arkansas and has been a champion for women’s rights. For our daughters and granddaughters, we are proud to stand with her in this fight.”

National Harris Delegate Rep. Jamie Scott (D–North Little Rock) said: “There has never been an election more important for women in American history. What a blessing that we have a fearless, strong, and brilliant woman in Kamala Harris to lead us in this fight. As a State Senator-Elect and a Black woman, it is one of the greatest honors of my life to endorse her for President. Now we all need to get to work.”

National Harris Delegate Rep. Tippi McCullough (D–Little Rock) said: “Vice President Kamala Harris has proven time and again that she is the leader we need for a brighter and more inclusive future. I saw her impact firsthand when I traveled to the White House to celebrate this administration’s historic investment in our state. I’m ecstatic Democratic state lawmakers here in Arkansas will be one of the first to endorse her candidacy.
