At Monday night's meeting of the Prescott Public Schools board of education, Angie Bryant was announced as the new superintendent of the district, to take office for the 2025-26 school year.
The district posted news of Bryant's appointment to its Facebook site about 15 minutes ago.
Bryant was promoted from within the administrative office of the school district. She is currently still listed on the district's web site as School Improvement Specialist. She has presented reports at past school board meetings on standardized testing data and school improvement plans.
Bryant will take over for Robert Poole, who was named Ashdown Public Schools' superintendent and will start there July 1st.
