The Hempstead County Library welcomed Bob Tarter from Animalogy Monday afternoon to teach kids about different types of animals for their summer program "Tails and Tales."

Tarter brought out six different animals to showcase to the kids in attendance: a veiled chameleon, a hedgehog, a Gila monster, an iguana, a bat, and a Buto buteo bird.

Tarter has been doing this for about two decades now and the kids had a blast.
