The Arkansas 30 Day Fund was established by Sarah Huckabee Sanders and her husband, Bryan Sanders, to provide forgivable loans of up to $3,000 to help bridge the gap for small businesses until they receive government assistance, or demand returns for their product or service.
The process is quick, easy, and free of red tape. The forgivable loans do not have to be repaid. "This is about Arkansans helping Arkansans," said Sarah Huckabee Sanders. "We are thrilled that so many Arkansans have joined our effort to help small businesses all across our state save jobs during this crisis."
Last week, the Arkansas 30 Day Fund announced a partnership with Arkansas State University. Through its Delta Center for Economic Development, ASU recruits, interviews and supplies student volunteers to help with the processing of applications received by the Arkansas 30 Day Fund.
Since launching a few weeks ago, the Arkansas 30 Day Fund has received applications from all across the state and has already distributed funds to over fifty small businesses. A majority of the businesses we have funded to date are owned by African Americans or women. At the 30 day mark from launch next week, the Arkansas 30 Day Fund will close the application process.
Arkansas businesses that qualify for assistance from the Fund are:
Small businesses that employ three to 30 people;
Based in Arkansas and have been operating for at least one year;
Owned and operated by an Arkansas resident.
