FAYETTEVILLE -- At ESPN, Dick Vitale has released his 12 best men's college basketball teams and Arkansas is among the dozen.
Vitale, one of the more known basketball gurus, has ranked Arkansas No. 8. That is second in the SEC with returning national champion Florida No. 3. Here's what Vitale wrote about the Razorbacks.
"Coach John Calipari's Razorbacks return D.J. Wagner and Trevon Brazile, paired with sensational freshmen Darius Acuff and Meleek Thomas. Woo Pig Sooie, they're stacked."
Kentucky, at No. 11, is the other SEC school among the 12. Among the players Vitale mentioned with Florida was transfer guard Boogie Fland, who played his freshman season at Arkansas last season.
The remainder of the 12 best teams are Purdue (1), Houston (2), UConn (4), St. John's (5), Texas Tech (6), BYU (7), Duke (9), UCLA (10) and Michigan (12).
