Arkansas Chapter of Associated General Contractors Wins National Chapter of the Year
Little Rock, Ark. – Associated General Contractors Arkansas (AGCAR) has been recognized as National Chapter of the Year by Associated General Contractors of America. This is the second consecutive win for AGCAR. With back-to-back wins in 2023 and 2024, Arkansas sets a historic 106-year-old record by being the first and only state to win the National Chapter of the Year Award two years in a row in the small chapter division.

The Associated General Contractors of America recognizes only three of its 89 chapters annually that have developed exceptional programming and have excelled at achieving tangible accomplishments, like impactful legislation and workforce development efforts. One winner each is chosen from their small division (under $1M), medium division ($1M – under $2.5M) and large division (over $2.5M).

Accomplishments that helped AGCAR take its second National Chapter of the Year Award include legislative wins which positively impacted building, highway and utility contractors, and the Arkansas construction industry as a whole; 47 statewide events with record-breaking attendance; new workforce development initiatives; and substantial growth in membership.

AGC of America President Thomas Brown presented AGCAR staff and Executive Committee Members with the distinguished award during the National and Chapter Leadership Conference on Monday, September 23, in Washington, D.C.

“What a great honor! I am extremely proud of our team and grateful for our member family who support our initiatives, participate in our programs and make the Arkansas construction industry such an amazing environment to work in,” said AGCAR Executive Vice President Brad Spradlin.

AGC Arkansas has been the voice of the Arkansas Construction Industry for over 90 years. Membership is comprised of commercial construction companies including building, highway and utility contractors, as well as subcontractors, suppliers and industry associates statewide. AGCAR brings value to its hundreds of members by vigorously promoting and protecting the construction industries’ interests both locally and nationally through government relations, statewide industry networking events, workforce development, over 50 safety and training courses, and community service opportunities.
