Little Rock, Ark. – The Arkansas Construction Education Foundation (ACEF) is pleased to announce a significant transition in leadership. Kathy Fulks, who has served as Executive Director for nine years, has retired. With gratitude for her impactful contributions, ACEF is excited to announce the promotion of Zach Sloan, previously ACEF Deputy Director, to the role of Executive Director.

Under Fulks’ leadership ACEF has grown to become the largest and most comprehensive apprenticeship program in the state. "I am immensely proud of the progress we have made during my time with ACEF," said Kathy Fulks. "It has been an honor to lead such a dedicated team and I’m confident that Zach will bring a fresh perspective and continued excellence to the role of Executive Director."

Sloan, who has served as Deputy Director for the past five years, has been a vital part of ACEF's leadership team. His expertise in strategic planning, program development, and industry relations has been instrumental in driving the foundation's initiatives forward. With a deep understanding of ACEF's mission and goals, Sloan is well-positioned to lead the organization into its next chapter. "I am truly honored to step into the role of Executive Director and to continue building on the strong foundation that Kathy has established," said Sloan. "I look forward to working with our incredible team and partners to further enhance our educational and workforce development programs, and to continue supporting our construction industry alongside the Associated General Contractors of Arkansas."

The transition in leadership marks an exciting new phase for ACEF. Under Zach Sloan's direction, the foundation is poised to continue its mission of advancing construction education, fostering industry growth, and providing the Arkansas construction industry with the next generation of skilled workforce.
