Arkansas Democrats: 'MAGA Congressional Delegation Thinks Violence Is A Permissible Recourse When You Lose An Election'
JONESBORO - Today, the three-year anniversary of former President Donald Trump inciting a deadly insurrection on the United States Capitol, the Democratic Party of Arkansas and Congressional Candidate and Army Veteran Rodney Govens (AR01) released the following statement and encouraged Arkansans to reject political leaders excusing the violence caused by Trump and his election lies:

“Even in the immediate aftermath of the bloody attack on the Capitol — which saw law enforcement officers overcome by the violence, resulting in many injuries and several deaths — my opponent Rep. Crawford stood against the will of American voters when he objected to the final count of Electoral College results," said Govens. "He was the sole member of Arkansas’s delegation to do so.

“Rep. Rick Crawford, Gov. Sarah Sanders, and many elected Republicans have continually shown that they believe violence against law enforcement is a permissible recourse when you don’t like the outcome of an election or want to avenge a clear loss at the ballot box.

“Even now, three years later, our Congressional delegation and many other leaders in the Republican Party are still standing with the extremists. Despite dozens of court decisions from numerous judges finding  there was no evidence of any election fraud, Crawford and his party remain apathetic that law enforcement officers — protecting Crawford and every other person in the Capitol from the mob — were under attack that day.”

“Crawford is a fraud, and the historic Arkansas Delta deserves better than his woeful, selfish, and shameful congressional record.”
