This is the second consecutive year a Razorback has been represented on the squad, joining Justin Smith from last year.
According to The Athletic, “This season, Williams has come into his own as an elite Glue Guy. He is scoring 10.8 points per game, which is the third-highest average on the team. He averages 9.6 rebounds, second only to Kentucky’s Oscar Tshiebwe in the SEC, to go along with 2.6 assists and 1.4 steals. Williams makes such good decisions with the ball that Musselman often runs the team’s offense through Williams’ hands at the high or low post. He has also given Williams the green light to push the ball upcourt following a defensive rebound, which turbocharges the Razorbacks’ vaunted fast break.”
Williams has drawn a school-record 48 charges to go along with his 43 steals and 36 blocked shots. He ranked seventh in the NCAA (second in the SEC) in defensive rebounding (8.06), 22nd in the NCAA (second in the SEC) in total rebounds (9.6). and 22nd in the NCAA (second in the SEC) in double-doubles (12).
