FAYETTEVILLE -- Arkansas' Jaylin Williams announced on Saturday he intends to remain in the 2022 NBA Draft.
The decision comes just ahead of the June 1 deadline to withdraw. Williams, 6-10, is projected to go anywhere from the end of the first round to the middle of the second.
At Arkansas last season, Williams played in 37 games with 35 starts. He averaged 10.9 points per game, 9.8 rebounds and dished out 95 assists. He shot 46.1 from the field, 23,9 from distance and 72.9 at the free throw line.
According to Hogville.net's Kevin McPherson, Williams has a guarantee where he could go as high as late first round,
Williams was one of the athletes invited to the NBA Scouting Combine in Chicago and he met with several teams there as well as visited with others elsewhere. Williams has been training in Miami for the draft.
The two-round, 58-pick draft will be held Thursday, June 23, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
