FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas is one of 22 teams on the midseason honor roll for the 2022 Joe Moore Award, which recognizes the most outstanding offensive line unit in the country. The Foundation for Teamwork announced the midseason honor roll Tuesday morning. Â
Under the reins of offensive line coach Cody Kennedy, the Razorbacks have started the same five linemen every game this season. Â
Redshirt senior Dalton Wagner, redshirt senior Luke Jones, senior Ricky Stromberg, redshirt junior Brady Latham and redshirt junior Beaux Limmer have paved way for the SEC’s leading rusher, Raheim “Rocket” Sanders, who has tallied 870 yards on the ground and seven touchdowns so far this season. Five different Hogs have accumulated over 100 yards rushing in 2022: Raheim Sanders (870), KJ Jefferson (344), AJ Green (182), Malik Hornsby (135) and Rashod Dubinion (108). The Hogs have recorded a 100-yard rusher in a program-record eight consecutive games dating back to the 2021 season, including five games from Sanders this season. Behind the unit’s blocking, Arkansas ranks second in the league in rushing yards per game (240.0) while averaging 488.57 yards of total offense through seven games. Â
The offensive line’s blocking positions Arkansas 10th nationally in total offensive yards (2,423) while QB KJ Jefferson ranks 10th in the country in passing efficiency (171.5). The Hogs sit third in the SEC in team passing efficiency (161.16) and fourth in passing yards per completion (14.14). Â
“The O-line units on the 2022 Midseason Honor Roll have caught the attention of the Voting Committee through the October 8 weekend by demonstrating many of the award criteria in a recognizable way,” said Cole Cubelic, chairman of the Joe Moore Award Voting Committee. “The bar will raise quickly and significantly from here, and the consistency, effort and teamwork required to earn further recognition will be how the elite units separate themselves.”Â
This year’s midseason honor roll includes Alabama, Air Force, Appalachian State, Arkansas, Coastal Carolina, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas State, Michigan, Minnesota, Ole Miss, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, South Alabama, Syracuse, Tennessee, TCU, UCLA, USC and UAB. Â
The Joe Moore Award voting committee will announce semifinalists on Nov. 15 and finalists on Dec. 6. Selection of the 2022 Joe Moore Award winner will be made public after a surprise visit to the winning university’s campus in late December. Â
