Senator Boozman celebrates Arkansas True Vision Children’s Homes Angels in Adoption honor with executive administrator Bob Moody and his wife Mona.

 WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) recognized Arkansas True Vision Children’s Homes as a 2023 Angels in Adoption honoree for the organization’s tireless commitment to helping foster children and promoting adoption in Arkansas.

 Arkansas True Vision Children’s Homes operates facilities in the state to address a variety of critical needs – helping children in dire situations, supporting foster children who need special care, and keeping sibling groups together. Across its facilities, the nonprofit organization supports 40-50 kids per day and is a licensed service provider for the Arkansas Department of Children and Family Services.

 “Every child deserves love and support, and Arkansas True Vision continues working tirelessly to provide better outcomes for children in foster care. I am grateful for the tremendous work of this organization, its leadership and the direct care staff who are dedicated to creating a brighter future for so many Natural State children,” Boozman said.

 Boozman also submitted a statement to the Congressional Record celebrating True Vision’s advocacy.

 In addition to its mission of caring for kids in emergencies and long-term foster care, True Vision has also assisted in 60 adoptions since 2015. The organization currently has three locations:

• The Young Children’s Home in Fort Smith where three special houses provide foster care for sibling groups on a neighborhood-style campus. 
• The Maggie House in Charleston provides long-term residential care to foster children, many with complex cases.
• The Florence Crittenton Home in Little Rock with a residential group home providing emergency shelter services and long-term residential care for children and adolescents in need of a safe and secure environment.

The Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI) coordinates the Angels in Adoption program and raises awareness about the tens of thousands of orphans and foster children in the United States and the millions of orphans around the world in need of permanent homes.

 “CCAI is proud to work alongside the Adoption Caucus over the past 25 years on the annual Angels in Adoption® Program to recognize the extraordinary work and impact of our Angel honorees towards a world in which every child knows the love and support of a permanent family,” said CCAI’s Executive Director, Kate McLean. “Our Angels are adoptees, former foster youth, foster parents, adoptive parents, judges, social workers, scholars, lawyers, volunteers, nonprofit leaders, and fierce advocates – all champions in their communities across the United States. CCAI is honored to help give a platform to these champions on Capitol Hill.” 

 Boozman annually nominates an Arkansan or Arkansas organization that is making an extraordinary contribution on behalf of children in need of safe and loving homes as an Angel in Adoption.
