Arkansas Razorback Isaiah Joe Out Indefinitely

Nate Allen

FAYETTEVILLE - On the same Tuesday he was announced among the finalists for the national Jerry West Shooting Award,  Arkansas sophomore guard Isaiah Joe underwent arthroscopic knee surgery that will sideline him “indefinitely”

Arkansas coach Eric Musselman announced shortly before Arkansas’ Tuesday night SEC game with Auburn at  Walton Arena before   that former Fort Smith Northside star guard Joe had undergone  the surgery on his right knee that has experienced painful inflammation that prevented him from playing in the Jan. 25 victory over TCU and hampered him the next two games, a SEC loss to South Carolina and the first scoreless performance of his career in last Saturday’s SEC victory over South Carolina.

“As I mentioned in the press conference Monday, Isaiah did have an MRI on his knee,” Musselman said in statement released by the UA Communications department.  “The results came back late Monday and it was determined Isaiah would undergo surgery Tuesday.  He will not be at the Auburn game tonight so he can recover and begin rehabilitation.”
