Arkansas School Safety Commission To Meet Tomorrow

LITTLE ROCK – The Arkansas School Safety Commission will convene for its second meeting at the State Capitol in Room 151at 1 p.m. tomorrowTuesday, June 21, 2022.


Governor Asa Hutchinson reinstated the Arkansas School Safety Commission in the wake of recent events around the nation and an increased concern about safety in Arkansas schools.  

Members of the Commission will review the final report from 2018. They will update the analysis of the safety of K-12 schools throughout the state, taking into consideration the physical and mental health of students.

The Commission will identify any new recommendations of best practices in school safety that have developed since 2018.

An initial report is due to Governor Hutchinson on August 1, 2022.
