June 11, 2024 ALTUS, Ark. — On Monday, June 10, 2024, the Altus Police Department (APD) requested assistance from the Arkansas State Police (ASP) Criminal Investigation Division (CID) with a death investigation. APD was notified that Christina Steffen, 35, was discovered unresponsive in her home. When APD arrived, they found Steffen deceased. The Franklin County Coroner confirmed Steffen's death at the scene. Steffen's body has been sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab, where the manner and cause of death will be determined. ASP CID is investigating.
