COLLEGE STATION – In advancing to Eugene in three events on Friday at the NCAA West hosted by Texas A&M, Razorback sprinter Jordan Anthony produced a stellar 9.75w in the 100m while also advancing in the 200m and 4 x 100m relay.

Overall, Arkansas will have 15 entries at the NCAA Championships, held June 11-14 at Hayward Field, in 10 events with 18 athletes.

Anthony won the first section of the 100m quarterfinal with a 9.75w (2.1 wind) time that ranks equal No. 2 on the collegiate all-time and equal No. 3 performer on the U.S. all-time list under all-conditions. Anthony is the fastest ever U.S. collegian under all-conditions.

The wind-legal collegiate record is 9.82 set by Christian Coleman of Tennessee in 2017. Faster wind-aided collegiate times include a 9.69w set at altitude by UTEP’s Obadele Thompson (Barbados) in 1996 and a 19.75w by USC’s Andre De Grasse (Canada) in 2015.

On the U.S. all-conditions 100m all-time list, the top time is 9.68w by Tyson Gay, followed by 9.74 for Justin Gatlin, and 9.75w for Doc Patton and Trayvon Bromell.

Anthony posted a 20.10 to advance in the 200m while Washington was 16th overall in 20.58. Washington produced a 10.05w in the 100m to advance to Eugene.

Tyrice Taylor had the top 800m time in the quarterfinal with a 1:46.64 and teammate Rivaldo Marshall won his heat in 1:46.97, which was fourth best overall.

A pair of Razorbacks also moved onto Eugene in the 1,500m. Davis Helmerich equaled his career best with a 3:40.70 and Reuben Reina clocked 3:40.92 as they placed sixth and seventh overall.

Scottie Vines cleared 7-1.5 (2.17) in the high jump to place eighth overall and earned a trip to Eugene as well.

The Razorbacks ran 38.63 in the 4 x 100m relay with a foursome of Washington, Tevijon Williams, Kevin Bello, and Anthony to place second overall to a 38.57 for Texas.

Arkansas capped the evening by delivering the top time in the 4 x 400m relay with a 3:02.13 over a 3:02.18 for USC. The Razorback crew included Brandon Battle (46.6), Steven McElroy (45.3), Jonah Vigil (45.30), and Jaden Smith (44.76).
