FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The No. 22 Razorback volleyball team continues its non-conference slate this weekend with a pair of matches against Tulsa and Stephen F. Austin in the Sooner State.
The Hogs take on the host Golden Hurricane on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. On Friday, Arkansas plays Stephen F. Austin at 4 p.m. to cap off action for the week. Thursday’s match will be streamed live on ESPN+, and live stats for both matches will be provided via StatBroadcast.
Both opponents are familiar for the Razorbacks. Tulsa head coach Lauren Ramatowski was an assistant at Arkansas 2020-21 and is now in her second season at the helm for the Golden Hurricane. She’s amassed a 24-16 record in that time, and Thursday will be the second meeting between the two teams in her tenure, the last an Arkansas sweep on Aug. 27, 2023. The Hogs are 10-1 against Tulsa all-time.
Arkansas has seen Stephen F. Austin three times in the last three seasons, the last in the first round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament at Barnhill Arena, where the Razorbacks swept the Lady Jacks. The team is 3-0 against Stephen F. Austin in Jason Watson’s tenure and 8-0 overall dating back to 1996.
The Hogs are off to a 7-0 start, the best record through as many matches in Watson’s nine seasons at Arkansas and the first 7-0 start for the program since 2002.
