Arts Council Announces 2023 – 2024 Membership Drive and Party

PRESS RELEASE - Jennifer Block

“A creative economy is the fuel of magnificence” ~Ralph Waldo Emerson.

One thing is for certain in life. Change will happen. When it does, why not be the driving force that stirs change into something beautiful and beneficial? A creative economy is just that, building a market centered around artists and their creations that positively impact the economy.

Every step of the creative process, from purchasing materials to artist’s payment, gets reinvested into the local economy. With this in mind, SWAAC is committed to Growing Our Creative Economy Through a Creative Community.

Membership dollars are the key successful factor in SWAAC programs. Support from members helps to increase not only the creative experiences of our community, but it also lends to bolstering our creative economy. SWAAC is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that relies upon tax deductible memberships to achieve our goals and fulfill our mission. Membership dollars not only support our mission, activities, and events, but also enable us to pursue various state and federal matching grants.

This year, SWAAC is kicking off their membership drive with a party for current members and those that are interested in becoming a member. This year’s party is truck stop themed in recognition of Perry’s Truck Stop and its celebrity patrons. The evening will feature a gallery show of the signed photographs that once hung at Perry’s. The Membership Party will be on May 18 th from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at 181 Hempstead 104 in Hope.

Please take a moment to consider an Arts Council membership. Becoming a member is easy as
