 Arts Council Announces 3rd Annual Youth Art Exhibition and Competition
Hope, Ark. – The Southwest Arkansas Arts Council (SWAAC) announces the 3rd Annual Youth Art Exhibition and Competition. Youth from the surrounding areas, aged 12 and up, are invited to enter artwork to be exhibited and then compete for a cash prize and a gallery showing. Submission pieces do not have to be framed but must be matted. All mediums are accepted for entry. Student work will be showcased from April 17th thru 30th at the Art Station, 10am – 4pm, Monday thru Friday. 

Exhibition is open to all, artists and families, and the community is invited to view the works during this time. Then submissions will be judged and winners for 1st, 2nd, 3rd Places and Rising Star will be chosen for each age category of 12–14 years-old, 15-17 years-old, and 18-college. In addition, one will be chosen as Best in Show. Winners will be announced at a gallery reception on April 25th, 5:30pm at the Art Station. During the reception, winners’ prizes will be awarded.

Deadline for submission is Thursday, April 15th. Work must be dropped off at the Art Station, 200 East Division Street.
