Nationally renowned artist Michael Sherbert will once again join the Arts Council in a gallery show. Sherbert will display his latest works and creations for the public to view in October. Starting on Tuesday, October 3rd, an opening reception is planned at 5:30pm to 7:00pm for members and the community. Then, Sherbert’s works will be on display at the Art Station, 200 E. Division Street, until October 31st. Gallery hours are 10am to 4pm, Monday through Thursday and 10am to 3pm on Fridays.Â
Sherbert’s career has led him down many paths including studying art, touring with rock bands and collaborating with artists such as Andy Warhol. Over his time creating art, Sherbert has participated in many gallery shows and exhibitions across the U.S. Among these shows, Sherbert has received many Best in Show awards.Â
Sherbert’s exhibition will come on the heels of SWAAC’s Effie Anderson Smith exhibition on Friday, Saturday & Sunday, September 29, 30 and October 1. The Smith exhibit will be open to the public at SWAAC’s Art Station Gallery on Friday 1pm-6pm, Saturday 10am-2pm and Sunday 1pm-5pm.
