The Arkansas State Police (ASP) is investigating a fatal pedestrian accident that occurred in the early morning hours of Saturday, August 23, 2025, on Highway 187 near Nightingale Road, north of Eureka Springs. At approximately 2:45 a.m., ASP Troopers responded to reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. Upon arrival, Troopers confirmed one fatality at the scene. The Carroll County Coroner pronounced the victim deceased around 3:30 a.m. The identity of the victim is pending notification of the next of kin. The vehicle involved in the incident is described as a newer model white Chevrolet pickup. ASP is actively looking for help from the public to locate this vehicle.
