ASP IDENTIFIES SUSPECT KILLED IN OFFICER-INVOLVED SHOOTING on I-40
January 12, 2024 Arkansas State Police has named Carlos A. Rauda, 46, of Long Beach, California, as the suspect killed in an officer-involved shooting on Thursday, January 11, 2024. Rauda fired on two ASP Troopers during a traffic stop at around 11 a.m. near the 161-mile marker on Interstate 40 in North Little Rock. The Troopers and a North Little Rock Police officer on scene were not injured. ASP’s Criminal Investigation Division is investigating the incident. An investigative case file will be presented to the prosecuting attorney, who will determine whether the use of deadly force was consistent with Arkansas law.
