CLARKSVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas State Police (ASP) has charged a Johnson County man in connection with the August 18, 2024, shooting death of Joseph Middleton, 49, of Clarksville. The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office asked ASP to assist in the investigation after being called to a home on Private Road 3533, Clarksville, at around 1:50 p.m.

Mark Anthony Gonzalez, 22, was charged with First-Degree Murder and Delivery of a Controlled Substance and is being held at the Johnson County Detention Center.
