Dierks- The Bears found themselves in a pitchers’ duel early on as Carson Moore locked up with Brody Maroon from Murfreesboro as they both went 5 innings and gave their teams’ great chances to win the game. Moore struck out 4 while allowing 2 runs. Andrew Carillo came in for relief and recorded the last 6 outs for Spring Hill, 4 of them via the strikeout. The Game was 2-0 heading into the 6th inning in favor of the Rattlers, a questionable ball called from the umpire gave an extra at-bat for the Rattlers and led to a 2-run double next pitch to put Murfreesboro up 4-0. The Bears had bases loaded in the bottom half of the 6th, but only came away with 1 run. The 7th inning was scoreless lead to a 4-1 Bears loss. Mason Moore led the Bears at the plate with a double and a single. Jayce Moore had a great night at the plate with a double and 2 walks. Cade Watson had a single and drove in the lone run for the Bears. Teyton Barton who made a couple of great plays defensively added a single. The Bears will look to rebound in the Regional Tourney held in Horatio next week. Times TBA.
