Spring Hill- It was Senior Night in Spring Hill on Friday night and the Bears played host to the Rattlers in a big conference matchup. Spring Hill allowed the Rattlers to take a 3-0 on some self-inflicted wounds, as Spring Hill committed 3 errors in the first inning. Spring Hill would get 2 of those runs back in the bottom of the third inning as, Mason Moore led the inning off with a single, and would later come around to score on a big 2-out hit from Jaxon Smith. Reese Tarver would then score on a balk by a Murfreesboro pitcher to cut the Rattlers lead to 3-2. Trailing 4-2 going into the bottom of the 5th inning, Spring Hill would score to get within one run on a bases loaded walk, as Corbin Overton had a great at-bat drawing a 2-out walk to produce a run. The Rattlers would tack on 2 runs in the 6th inning and Spring Hill would not be able to overcome the deficit, as they fell to Murfreesboro 6-3. Mason Moore led the Bears at the plate with 2 hits, including a double. Carson Moore and Jaxon Smith both finished the game with hits for Spring Hill. Carson Moore and Reese Tarver both pitched very well on Friday, as the combined for 7 strikeouts, and only allowed a combined 1 earned run. The Bears kicked the ball around in some key spots that put themselves in a hole early on in the game. Spring HIll is back in action on Monday as they travel to Foreman for a conference matchup.
