Bears Fall Just Short of Comeback Win over Rattlers
Spring Hill- The Bears found themselves down 12 points to begin the final quarter on Monday night in a crucial game as they hosted Murfreesboro on Senior Night.

Spring Hill had a tough go of it in the second quarter, as they fell behind before half and the Rattlers extended that lead at the end of the third quarter. Some great defensive play by the Bears and some big-time shots by Levin McGuire and other Bears early in the fourth quarter put Spring Hill right back in it. The Bears would claw their way back and take a 1-point lead with less than a minute remaining.

The Bears would get a stop and control the ball with around 45 seconds remaining in the game. Murfreesboro would force a turnover and get a put-back layup to take the lead. Spring Hill could not connect on the game-winning shot attempt and fell to the Rattlers 56-55. The Bears allowed 12 second-chance points in the game, but they will look to clean that up as they will more than likely get another chance at the Rattlers in a couple of weeks.

Levin McGuire would pace the Bears offense with 17 points, including four second-half 3-pointers. Jakob Perry scored 12 points and played great defense as he had a tall task guarding Caldwell from Murfreesboro most of the night (Karson Hamilton did a great job defending him as well). Maverick Mills added 8 points, as Andrew Wylie and Jackson Putz each scored 7 points. Austin Stone added 4 points and a handful of impressive blocked shots throughout the game.

A lot of seeding implications are at stake this week, as this game was one of those games deciding key seeding factors for the conference tourney. Murfreesboro and Dierks played Tuesday night (no result yet) and the Bears travel to Dierks on Thursday as they Bears look to end the regular season on a good note and avoid the 4-seed for the conference tourney.
