Junction City- The Bears offense went to work early and often yesterday as they scored 3 in the first inning and scored 7 runs in two separate innings to explode for 19 runs Thursday night in a 19-5 victory. Jayce Moore showed up and showed out banging out 4 hits including 2 triples and driving in 3 runs in the process. Reese Tarver started the game on the mound for the Bears as he allowed just 1 run on 3 hits and striking out 3 batters. Tarver also added a triple from the plate, walked twice and scored 3 runs. Zane Minton had 2 hits and 2 RBIs at the plate for the Bears and swiped a team high 3 bags as well. Minton, Corbin Overton, and Mason Moore each came in relief of Tarver to finish the game on the mound for the Bears. Carson Moore drove in 3 runs for the Bears on a double in the 7th inning to put an exclamation point on the victory. Next up for the Bears is Acorn on Friday as they begin conference play. First pitch scheduled for 4:30.
