Bears Top Rattlers 1-0 in Conference Showdown
Spring Hill- In a game featuring a pair of the top teams in 2A, everyone in attendance got their moneys worth. This game had a little bit of everything, small ball, a lot of swings and misses, great defensive plays, questionable calls, but the difference in the scoreboard was Brady Rhodes coming through for the guys in the 4th inning with a big 2-out RBI. "Brady came through for us, he did his job, he's a leader on this team," Coach Spangler added after the game on Rhodes' big knock to drive in the lone run for the game.

Both teams had chances with runners at third with less than 2 outs and both pitchers escaped big time jams. Mason Moore pulled a Houdini act, striking out a pair of batters with runners on 2nd and 3rd to keep the Rattlers at 0. Moore recorded 20 outs for the Bears, but due to pitch count he had to exit the game. Andrew Carrillo toed the rubber and got that final out, as he caught the batter looking for strike three to give Spring Hill the win. "We played with a lot of grit and picked up a big win for us," Coach Seth Spangler said after the win.

Mason Moore was a bulldog on the bump for the Bears, striking out 12 batters, yielding zero runs, and allowing just 4 hits. Coach Spangler talked on his pitchers performance after the game, "Phenomenal is a good word to use to describe his performance tonight, he competed, he's a gamer."

At the plate for the Bears, Spring Hill only managed four hits, but got the big one from Rhodes to drive in the games only run. Maddox Dickson led the way at the plate with 2 hits and Andrew Carrillo smoked a double.

Spring Hill is back in action on Friday as they will look to avenge their lone conference loss vs Foreman.
