FAYETTEVILLE – After netting the game-winning goal against Grand Canyon Sunday, forward Bella Field has been named SEC Freshman of the Week, the league announced Monday.
The goal, the first of Field’s career, was a stunner as it came 27 seconds after Grand Canyon tied the match with 53 seconds left on the clock. The game-winning goal gave the Hogs a win to close out non-conference play. Against Tennessee, Field came off the bench and helped the Razorbacks pressure the Vols by firing off two shots, with one on target.
The honor is Field’s first of her collegiate career.
Field and the Hogs will be back in action on Thursday, September 21st to face No. 7 Alabama at Razorback Field.
