Big Boy Stops in Hope, A Few Are Selected For A VIP Ride!

HC Quorum Court Member Steve Atchley, Chamber Director Beckie Moore, and Representative Danny Watson go for a VIP ride on Big Boy 4014

The Union Pacific steam Big Boy No. 4014 made a stop in Hope today much to the delight of the community. After a few delays due to track repairs, Big Boy rolled into the Hope Train Depot around 6:30 pm where crowds of local citizens were lined up on both sides of the track to see the famous steam locomotive. Today's stop in Hope is just one of many Big Boy No. 4014 is making during its ten-state tour. A few local citizens were selected for a VIP ride, Hempstead County Quorum Court Member Steve Atchley, Chamber of Commerce Director Beckie Moore, and Arkansas State Representative Danny Watson, for a quick trip to Prescott. Big Boy No. 4014 will stay overnight in Prescott and leave out again in the morning at 8 am for the next leg of the tour.
