Blevins School District shifts to AMI

The Blevins School District announced today that students will switch to Alternative Method of Instruction (AMI) and forego on-campus instruction for the remainder of this week. Since Monday is a school holiday in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr., Day, students will return to school Tuesday, January 18th.

In a notice to parents, the district said the shift to AMI was for the health and safety of students in response to rising COVID-19 cases. The announcement said, "Due to the large increase in the number of positive COVID-19 and quarantine cases in the district, we have decided to utilize our Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) days to alleviate the potential exposure at school."

Students began receiving assignments and activities from teachers this afternoon by either email, Google Classroom, and/or handouts, and they are encouraged to email teachers should they have any questions or concerns regarding any of their AMI work.
