Blevins Track Teams Compete in Sr. Georgia Pacific Relays

Gurdon- The Blevins Hornet Track teams traveled to Gurdon Thursday to compete in the Sr. Georgia Pacific Relays. The Hornets had a great showing in the Boys and Girls events Thursday.

In the Lady Hornet events Audrey Lovette earned the girls a point by finishing top 8 in the 400M. Marcasja Glenn and Takeyla Williamson competed in the 100M. Ana Hernandez finished 15th in the 800M. Takeyla Williamson finished in 11th place in the Long Jump and Daniela Gomez finished 15th in the Shot Put and 14thin the Discus. 

The Hornet Boys Track team had some very impressive showings as they earned 21 points as a team, finishing 11th out of 15 schools, all in which were bigger in size. Javier Gomez Won 1st place in the 1600M Run. DeCameron Brown had a very good day in Gurdon as he finished in 3rd place in the 800M. In the 4x800 Meter Relay Blevins finished in 4th place. The team consisted of Javier Gomez, DeCameron Brown, Jett Snowden, and Evan Rodriguez. Javier Gomez also competed in the 800M were he finished in 10th place. Jett Snowden and Evan Rodriguez also competed in the 400M.
