Mineral Springs- Blevins Sr. High Girls and Boys Track teams traveled to Mineral Springs for their district track meet this past Thursday. In a very tough meet, many of the Blevins Hornets and Lady Hornets competed very well and both teams placed 4th as a team. For the girls, Takeyla Williamson claimed 2nd place in the Long Jump and qualified for State. Audrey Lovette finished in 4th place in both the Triple Jump and 800M. Marcasja Glenn placed 4th in the 100M Hurdles. For the Boys they had a great showing as both the 4x400 and 4x800 Relay teams won 1st place and are headed to state. DeCameron Brown won the 800M and Javier Gomez won the 1600M and both are headed to state for those events. 

Girls Events:

High Jump- Marcasja Glenn 7th

Long Jump- Takeyla Williamson 2nd place, Audrey Lovette 8th, Marasja Glenn 15th

Triple Jump- Audrey Lovette 4th, Marcasja Glenn 6th

Discus- Alaya Carrigan 9th, Jaylynn White 11th, Alexa Hernandez 13th, Daniela Gomez 15th

Shot Put- Alaya Carrigan 6th, Alexa Hernandez 7th, Daniela Gomez 15th, Jaylynn White 16th

100M- Marcasja Glenn 12th, Alaya Carrigan 16th

400M- Takeyla Williamson 12th

800M- Audrey Lovette 4th, Keyla Diaz 5th, Ana Hernandez 7th

100M Hurdles- Marcasja Glenn 4th

Both the 4x100 and 4x200 Relays placed 5th

Boys Events:

Long Jump- Jett Snowden 11th, Kyle Hampton 15th, Rylee Powell 16th

400M Dash- Jett Snowden 10th, Rylee Powell 12th

800M- DeCameron Brown 1st Place, Javier Gomez 4th, Xavier Brazzelle 6th, Evan Rodriguez 7th

1600M- Javier Gomez Won 1st

Relays:

4x100 4th place

4x200 5th place

4x400 1st place

4x800 1st place
