Blue Jays Beat Blevins, Drop Tough Game to Hampton
Nevada- The Blue Jays had a pair of games this past week, as they would drop a game to Hampton on Monday and beat Blevins on Tuesday. The Blue Jays are gearing up for the conference tourney, which begins on Monday.

Tristan Griffith toed the slab for the Blue Jays against Hampton and pitched a great game, piling up 9 strikeouts. A few mistakes let the game get out of hand for the Jays as they dropped a non-conference game 7-2. Colin Nelson had a hit for Nevada and Travis McClure added a hit as well. The Blue Jays swiped 4 bags as a team (Brogan Rhodes, Braylon Srebalus, Colin Nelson, Wesley Almand).

Nevada traveled to Blevins and run-ruled the Hornets in a conference game. Brogan Rhodes struck out 5 batters on the mound, Wesley Almand struck out 4 and Nathan Pipkins struck out the side in his 1 inning of relief. At the plate the Jays were led by Tristan Griffith, as he had 4 hits and drove in 4 runs. Wesley Almand had a 2-hit game and drove in 2 runs, as Travis McClure had 4 RBI and a hit, Justin Myrick had 3 RBI and a hit, and Brogan Rhodes had 1 hit and 3 RBI for the Jays at the plate. 

The Bracket is set for the Jays, as they play Monday night against Mineral Springs in Mineral Springs in the conference tournament.
