Blue Jays Beat Emerson 75-58
Nevada- The Blue Jays completed their regular season on Friday night as they hosted Emerson on senior night at "The Nest". Brogan Rhodes, Caleb Moss, and Kavion Coleman were honored, along with Karleigh Carlton of the Lady Jays. It was all business from the opening tip until the final buzzer, as Nevada dominated the first half and cruised to a 75-58 non-conference win over the Pirates. 

The Blue Jays outscored the Pirates 19-10 in the first quarter and then Kavion Coleman heated up and drained 4 2nd quarter 3's to help the Blue Jays extend their lead to 46-25 at the break. The Blue Jays played some good basketball in the 2nd half and Kobe Hughey scored 8 points in the final quarter to pace the Jays in the 4th. 

Kavion Coleman led the way for the Jays with 23 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assists. Coleman knocked down five 3-pointers in the first half, as he continues to shoot the lights out. Keyonte Wingfield continues to display how great of an all-around player he is, scoring 13 points, dishing out 6 assists, grabbing 5 rebounds, and leading the team with 3 steals. Brogan Rhodes had a great game with 8 points, 5 rebounds, and a couple of assists. Kobe Hughey scored 8 points with Caleb Moss and Justin Myrick each scoring 6 points. Rico Aparicio scored 5 points, Monti Mixon added 4 points, and Hurkilis Burns scored 2. 

The Blue Jays are sporting the #1 seed heading into the District Tournament and will play the winner of Mt. Ida and Mineral Springs on Friday night.
