Nevada- The Blue Jays bats showed up in a big way on Wednesday night as they pushed across 17 runs and topped the Cougars 17-6. Justin Myrick had himself a night at the plate as he piled up 4 hits, including a double, had 4 RBI, and also swiped 4 bags on the basepaths. Brogan Rhodes had 3 hits for the Jays and drove in 2 runs and stole 2 bases. Braylon Srebalus had a double, single, and drove in 3 runs. Tristan Griffith smacked a double and drove in 2 runs, while Colin Nelson, Travis McClure, and Payton Smith each had hits for Nevada. Nathan Pimpkins would steal a base as well. The Blue Jays got a few guys some work on the mound as Tristan Griffith tossed 2 innings and struck out 4, Brogan Rhodes threw 2 innings and also struck out 4, and Nathan Pipkins tossed the last inning and struck out one batter. Nevada is set to start Conference Play on Friday.
