Blue Jays Come Up Short Against Scrappers
Nashville- In what turned out to be the Championship game in the Nashville Tourney this weekend, Nevada took on the home team on Saturday afternoon but lost 81-68 after Nashville's hot-shooting second half.

The Blue Jays played a great first half, taking a 41-33 lead after the second quarter with Kavion Coleman catching fire and scoring 17 of his 20 points in the first half. Brycten Harris played a huge part in the late push towards the end of the opening half that extended the lead as Nevada finished the 2nd quarter on great run with a big three-pointer and knocking down 3 free throws. This game would turn out to be a tale of two halves, as Nashville would open the third quarter on a run, and outscore the Jays 22-10 in the third quarter.

"We ended the second quarter great, but we had a hard time finding buckets in the second half, and we let the game slip away," Coach Jamario Bell said after the game.

Harris would heat up in the fourth quarter as he scored 10 points in the final eight minutes. The Scrappers would shoot lights out in the second-half and score 48 points to put the game out of reach, 81-68.

Brycten Harris would finish with 23 points 4 rebounds, and 4 assists. Kavion Coleman with a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds, and Keyonte Wingfield would score 13 and dish out 7 assists. Kobe Hughey had 8 points and 2 steals, and Caleb Moss rounded out the scoring with 4 points.

The Blue Jays will head to the Camden Classic after Christmas for their next tournament.
